It is almost that time of the year for my family. September 10th, 2007 my grandma lost her battle to Pancreatic Cancer. I still can't believe it sometimes that I find myself reaching for the phone to call her and tell her what the kids have done now. For the last year and half I have been trying to spread the word as much as possible. So in November if you can't go to the gala ( In know I can't afford it), please wear purple since November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month. It would mean a great deal to me and the other families affected by this terrible disease.
11th Anniversary Celebration
An Evening with the Stars Gala Saturday,
November 15th, 2008
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network presents the 11th Anniversary Celebration of our annual An Evening with the Stars gala, to be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008. We invite you to join for a very special evening dedicated to advancing research, supporting patients and creating hope for everyone in the pancreatic cancer community.
As always our annual An Evening with the Stars is dedicated to loved ones who have passed. It is also dedicated to the survivors, caregivers, volunteers, scientists, researchers, policy makers, donors and special friends of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. We honor all of you for helping us accomplish so much and we are grateful for all that you have done for us. We are focused now more than ever on changing the course of history for this disease. Your participation in our annual gala helps move us closer to our goal.
This year’s gala will be at the elegant and beautiful Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills. If you would like to receive an invitation, please send your name, mailing address and phone number to Jill Gisselere at firstname.lastname@example.org, or contact us by phone at 310-725-0025. We would be delighted to mail you an invitation this fall.
