I call my insurance agent Charlie, because that would be his job to fix this situation, right? WRONG! He suggests that it was my fault for confusing them when I had the car towed to the dealer ship. How could that have happened? I called the dealership to let them know that the car was coming for REPAIRS. When the tow guy came and picked it up I called them to let them know it would be there soon. The tow guy called them and let them know he was on his way too. I called again that afternoon and talked to a guy about the car. So between Monday and Friday they seemed to have forgotten all of the conversations.
My insurance guy suggests that I call the 800 number and have them fix the problem. So I am thinking what good is he? Isn't this his job and isn't this why he is being paid the BIG bucks?? I guess I was wrong. Once again assuming got me no where.
BTW, Saturday my husband was fixing the brakes on his car. He spent all day working on it with his friend Bill and thought they had everything done. Come to find out they needed calipers (Sp?) and put those on. The brakes worked so well that the hoses broke. They fixed those and the brakes wouldn't work. They looked under the car and the long hose that goes from front to back for the brakes was leaking all over. So now we are down to 0 cars. My husband had to borrow a truck to drive to and from work.

That night I called and started the claim going and talked to a person that I could hardly understand.
I spent the whole entire day yesterday on the phone with our insurance company doing the claim thing again. It is considered a comprehensive accident since another car wasn't involved. I found out that we don't have towing covered or rental coverage. Check your policy people!
Since the windshield was caving in I had to call a tow truck to come get it and take it to the dealership for repairs. I than had to call the dealership to let them know the car was coming and ended up talking to a guy who had to be dumber than a box of hair.
I had been on the phone so much that my cordless battery died and I ended up on the cell phone. I got another call from the insurance company again to ask the same questions again. She also told me that I had duplicate claim. We got that straightened out and she asked me a few new questions. Since he got hit in the head, (he isn’t hurt cuz he has a hard head, lol). Now they have to do a medical claim. Did I mention he is out of town on business and I am doing this all by myself?
So now we sit and wait for the insurance guy to look at my car, (which I was told could take a few days) and wait for the estimate to come back. Once that is finished they can start the repair on my car.
Please check your insurance policies to make sure that you are covered as you should be and not find out the hard way like I did.

A few nights ago I was chatting away on a Yahoo chat group that I had just joined when a message came across for a cool web site. Being a big fan of books in general I was excited to see that they reviewed books on the paranormal/horror/urban fantasy. They have both adult and young adult books. As Julia Roberts once said, “Color me happy!”
So while I was checking out the site I also noticed that they have not just reviews but also, author interviews, guest blog spots and some really neat contests.
They not only review paperbacks but also eBooks. As a recent eBook convert, that is so cool! Going through I noticed a few authors that I didn’t even know about. My To Be Read pile is getting way out of hand.
After checking the site for a while and reading the reviews I decided to join. So now I get to review books for Bitten By Books. How freakin cool is that??
Come on over and take a look for yourself.
